 Karl W.Davenport, 53, is a 1976 graduate of Auburn University with a B.S. degree in Wood Technology and a Chemistry minor. He and his wife currently reside near Dunnellon, FL. His career in forest products spanned 30 years, most of which were in management with International Paper Company. He managed major mills for International Paper for 15 years, then was the company's Beverage Packaging manufacturing manager. Later he led the product development efforts of the company's Consumer Packaging Group. He also managed all of the company's northern timberlands from Minnesota to Maine through the sales process of those assets. Throughout his career he was able to turn around the performances of lagging departments, mills and businesses significantly and sustainably using creative and cutting-edge work systems. Outside of work he has held multiple leadership positions with churches, local United Way drives, school support organizations, and he is a 12+ gallon blood donor.
