EcoVerdance in Africa

Overview

Purpose: EcoVerdance is addressing one of the core issues of humanity - food security. A driving force of each member of the management team is the keen recognition of the impact we can make in the lives of the world's malnourished population.

Process: Farms in Africa will use AgriSurge to treat crops that will feed the poor and undernourished, at-risk populations. The excess food production beyond sustenance can be used to establish reserves and as trade to supply for health necessities and standard-of-living improvements.

Cost: EcoVerdance will blend sales of the product along with donations to farmers in select regions of Africa, while maintaining rights to the carbon credits generated from the resulting crops. In the initial season, the cost of this product is borne primarily by donations. Thereafter, a micro-loan mechanism is put into place to allow the farmer to purchase AgriSurge. This is consistent with the Company's philosophy of encouraging a self-sustaining community. For optimal results, the product generally requires an initial seed treatment and two foliar applications of 4 ounces per acre each crop season. Based on research and field test, the applied cost of AgriSurge is typically in the USD 3.50 per application per acre range. Based on crop type, the value added improvements for use may vary from USD 80.00 to USD 800.00 per acre. Furthermore, the product can be applied simultaneously with most fertilizers, pesticides and other crop treatments, which results in no additional application expense.

Current Extent: The core competency of EcoVerdance in Africa is its ability to distribute product and initiate a shift in the African farming paradigm. Currently, EcoVerdance has over 30 African field trials that are active and ongoing. Trials with Agra, University of Kenyata, Forest Institute, and Lugazi Sugar Company in Uganda are all proceeding and once completed will result in legitimate third party verifications of our enhanced yield data. EcoVerdance is uniquely positioned to have both significant social and environmental impacts. As a result of our work in Kenya, Uganda, and Burundi, the Company is confident in stating definitively that the product can substantially improve crop yields and generate meaningful food increases even in cases of marginal land or scarce water. At present, the Company employs fulltime nationals in both Kenya and Uganda.
